Man's Best Friend is my Foe
I was chatting with a friend of mine about dating people with pets. I know all the dog and cat lovers and PETA people will not agree with me on this one, but I refuse to date someone with a pet. Here are my reasons why:
1) I am allergic to pet dander: Seriously, I get all itchy and sneeze a lot. It's not cute at all. Blame my parents for that one. Bad DNA and studies show that kids who are not exposed to pets at an early age develop allergies later in life.
2) I will not come second to a four legged creature: I am needy enough in a relationship, and I refuse to have any attention diverted from me onto an animal - who only loves the owner cause they are the hand that feeds them!
Time to open the floor for discussion. Thoughts & comments are always welcome.

Hey, I can relate big time. I may love animals, but my body sure does hate them! Dander just puts me right into the hospital. Always gotta ask a new friend if he/she has an "inside" pet. If so, I don't visit. Ever. Period. Sure puts a GIGANTIC cog in the dating!

My cat Boobie is the best thing ever. Couldn't live without him!
people rule; animals drool!
down with fur!!
and not to worry, PETA was once very mean to me over a clay aiken incident so i wouldn't worry about them!
I love my kitties Buffy and Willow as if I gave birth to them. My hubby is allergic but he takes zyrtec and lives as though allergy free. However I have enough love to go around. Everyone said once I had my daughter that my pets would just become pets but they are still my babies.
i have to agree with the pet lovers out there...my (very allergic) boyfriend asked me once "how long do cats live" my response "longer than any boyfriend i've had" he loves me anyway. and i see nothing wrong with having to get drugged up to come see me. i'm going to buy stock in Alavert (his drug of choice)
